Your Workplace

The Urology Section in Karlstad is part of the Surgical Clinic and conducts a modern urological practice. The Urology Section has a regional responsibility for urological care in Värmland.

The main activities are conducted in Karlstad where, in addition to outpatient care, we have our emergency services, inpatient department, and surgery. Our outpatient care is consolidated on one floor and consists of day care, cystoscopy unit, urotherapy, and urology clinic. An operations coordinator and a social worker are also placed with us.

The section currently consists of 11 specialist physicians in urology with broad and deep expertise in the urological field, as well as residents. The workgroup is characterized by high professionalism, good working environment, collaboration, and a positive collegial climate. We prioritize quality, patient safety, and continuous development of the practice. Our journal system is Cambio Cosmic.

Your Responsibilities

As a specialist physician in urology with us, you will work both focused and broadly within urology. The tasks include outpatient work, endoscopy, surgery, inpatient care, and emergency work.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in urology and have the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement for the position. You have good clinical competence and a professional attitude and enjoy working in a team and contributing to a positive work climate. You are engaged and take initiative, are development-oriented, and want to help shape the future of urology. We also value an interest in quality work, education, and improvement efforts.
